The DonorScape® Business Development Associate works to champion DonorScape® as part of a concerted lead generation effort. This role is responsible for updating and maintaining relevant DonorScape® sales data in GG+A’s CRM system. In addition to working closely with Sales, Client Engagement, and other GG+A Analytics team members, the  Business Development Associate will work closely with the GG+A Marketing team to align business development activity with targeted marketing campaigns. The DonorScape® Business Development Associate communicates with clients around renewal timelines and coordinates with the finance department to create new and renewal contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates and manages DonorScape® documentation including subscription contracts and sales and marketing collateral
  • Collaborates with GG+A Marketing to develop new sales collateral and coordinate firm-wide and DonorScape® marketing campaigns
  • Oversees the subscription renewal process
  • Builds weekly and monthly reports around key metrics for DonorScape® sales team and leadership
  • Develops contactable lists of prospective clients from within pre-defined target markets using a range of resources including conference lists, the GG+A CRM system, professional membership lists, GuideStar online subscription and other sources
  • Develops and executes targeted outbound multi-channel marketing efforts including paper mailings and email communications to prospective DonorScape® leads
  • Provides support to colleagues who are representing the firm at conferences through the production and delivery of collateral materials
  • Drafts, edits, and finalizes reference lists, testimonials, and other materials used in the DonorScape® sales process
  • Documents and tracks all relevant sales and marketing activities in project management software, SharePoint, and the GG+A CRM system
  • Discusses project deadlines with other GG+A colleagues and ensures that work related to DonorScape® is prioritized appropriately
  • Manages time well to ensure availability to meet DonorScape® sales, marketing, and client deadlines
  • Takes proactive role in communicating assignment deadlines to team members (sales, marketing, digital marketing, and client engagement) and ensures deliverables are prepared and submitted within determined timeframe
  • Maintains helpful, positive attitude and contributes to an efficient, collegial working environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales and lead generation
  • Proven ability to assist with qualified leads
  • Experience and proven ability with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Experience with email marketing tools and CRM and/or project management software required
  • Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or fundraising organizations preferred

DonorScape® is a product area within GG+A Analytics, which also includes other product lines including survey research, predictive analytics, staffing calculations, and institutional benchmarking. The DonorScape® Business Development Associate may also be involved in sales and marketing for these other areas as needed.

Key buyers of DonorScape® are development professionals at nonprofit organizations, particularly in the areas of prospect research, prospect management, development/advancement services, and frontline fundraisers. They are engaged in fundraising from individual donors, as opposed to strictly corporate, foundation, and/or government sources. This will include but is not limited to colleges, universities, independent schools, public broadcasting, arts and culture organizations, hospitals, healthcare systems, and advocacy groups.
